Protect the parts you cannot see
Tile is a finish, not the waterproofing plan. Wet-area work needs an appropriate assembly behind the visible surface, careful treatment at changes in plane and penetrations, and enough time for each step. Existing damage may only become clear during removal, so the proposal should explain how discoveries are communicated.
